PasteHop is a clipboard tool, so it sees what you copy. This page says what it does with that, in plain terms.

Your copies stay on your Mac

PasteHop keeps a copy only while the Flow is on, and the Flow is held in memory on your Mac. Nothing you copy is uploaded. The app has no account, no analytics and no crash reporting.

A copy that its source marks as secret or temporary, as password managers do, stays out of the Flow. A secret copied from an app that sets no such mark is kept like any other text: add that app in Settings › Privacy, under Excluded apps.

When PasteHop quits, the Flow is cleared. You can choose to keep it instead, in Settings › Privacy: it is then saved to a file in ~/Library/Application Support/PasteHop, readable by your user account only.

A remembered form stores its fields and their names, never a value. Remembered forms are listed in Settings › Privacy, and you can forget them there.

Permissions

Input Monitoring lets PasteHop notice ⌘V and its own shortcuts. It looks at key codes and modifier keys to recognise them. It does not record or store what you type.

Accessibility lets PasteHop send the paste to the app in front, press Tab when you ask it to, and, in Destination Mode, read and fill the fields of the window you chose.

Screen Recording is asked only when Capture reads text in a picture. The picture is read on your Mac. Nothing is saved or sent.

Automation is asked only by Destination Mode, to select a browser tab you chose as a destination.

The one network request

With a Pro license key, PasteHop sends that key to Polar, the service that sells PasteHop (api.polar.sh), to check it: when you enter it, each time the app starts, and once a day while it runs. No clipboard content is included. The key is kept in the macOS Keychain.

This website

The demos on this site are drawn in the page with made-up sample values. They never read your clipboard.

If you leave your e-mail address to hear when Pro opens, it is stored with Cloudflare and used for one e-mail, the day Pro opens. To have it removed before then, ask on X.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. No font, script or picture is loaded from another site.

A click on the download button adds one to a daily count of downloads. Nothing about you is stored with it.
